In our room as we went for food not acceptable. Then pretty much asked to leave after second night using cash payments. Following morning after tipping ten pounds my partner asks get boat we leave from here she instructs him Ballymena b better very good would not recommend looks well but the host is a joke not nice lady at all

Our room was very comfortable and the furnishings were without blemish. The hotel itself is very welcoming and much more homely than a certain more famous one a few miles closer to Belfast. The staff were both friendly and efficient at all times.

We liked everything! The reception was spectacular, the staff was beyond hospitable, the facilities were perfect for gathering with friends and the room was beyond our expectations!!
Located in an elevated position overlooking the marina, this well reputed and respected guest house occupies a superb setting in the seaside resort of Bangor, County Down.
We arrived late and left early. Didn’t have time to look around the town. We chose Newtownards for its location from where we would be visiting local attractions the next day and the hotel as the best of a small choice.

Newtownards, while not obviously a beautiful town, has interesting and historic elements. Its position near Belfast, lovely Strangford Lough and magnificent National Trust property Mountstewart is a bonus. We enjoyed drinks and food in the Parlour (formerly known as the Old Cross). There were other interesting looking bars/restaurants which we unfortunately did not have time to explore.

Staff were professional and friendly.
Staff were professional and friendly. The hotel is perfectly located with clean, good sized rooms and plenty of storage. The restaurant food was good quality and served meals promptly. Would absolutely recommend.
This was a most delightful stay! Our hostess, Louise, was just incredible. She shared her knowledge of local places and history and also things that interested our family - like the hockey rink just a few miles away. The service was above and beyond what we expected for such a reasonable price - definitely a LOT of value! If we make it back to Northern Ireland again, we will definitely want to stay here.
We loved it, we arrived late on Tues and Brian, who was night porter, couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The beds were comfy and will say it was the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in quite a few.
Brian was so lovely each evening we arrived wold certainly be back again because he's so helpful kind chatty makes all difference at the front of house.
Louise was so kind and welcoming during the entire stay. She was so helpful in giving us tips and things to do during our time in Northern Ireland as well and was checking in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. Breakfast was great and there was a very nice area to hangout in during the evenings. Clean, nice place to stay, so much better than a big chain hotel!
Loved the hotel , staff very friendly and helpful, even accommodating a little bit if breakfast as I was leaving very early morning,
Room very spacious as was the bathroom, food in the restaurant was excellent would have loved to stay longer
Vey nice hotel first impressions: clean , welcoming and very quiet. The breakfast is has a great buffet selection and the option for a cooked breakfast the staff are also so very friendly, proefssional and welcoming.
This is the third time we have stayed at this property. It is always very clean, and the owner is always friendly and helpful. It is very handy for the Newtownards area, and has everything you need for a short stay.
